About

Hi, I'm Tim.

Operator, author, and consulting CTO. Twenty-five years in digital transformation. Based in Seattle.

I build, run, and advise digital businesses. Most of my time right now goes to writing RCS for Aqualis Publishing, running the X Enterprises studio, and a small number of fractional CTO engagements.

Before that, I led a Seattle-area digital agency for seventeen years with a deep client roster across SaaS, e-commerce, and local services. I've spoken at conferences on data design and digital transformation, sat on academic and arts boards, and spent a stretch as a Grammy Foundation voting member.

I'm at my best in the messy middle of a company — past the founding sprint, not yet at the operating-system stage. The fun part is pressure-testing the model.

“I had the incredible privilege of working alongside SEO guru, Tim Mushen on a couple projects in his Digital Agency. Tim is a results driven SEO go getter that works harder than the competition. Having run multiple companies as CEO and CTO, Tim understands what it takes to be successful from the start of any project to its success. Tim Mushen is THE guy you want on your team or managing your team, whether it be the sales, partnerships, software architects, budgets or profitability. Tim's 20+ years of experience in the industry really stood out in all of our conversations.”

— Austin Eley-Wade

“Tim was very responsive in handling a few of my web site concerns I had recently. He went above and beyond any expectation by considering my learning style and comfort level, then walked me through to a solution. I was especially grateful for Tim's follow through and making introductions that might be valuable to me in the future.”
