Consulting

Fractional CTO and digital transformation.

Engagements are small and focused. I work with operators who are past the founding sprint and not yet at the operating-system stage — usually on tech-stack pressure testing, studio setup, or messaging-channel strategy.

Fit

Best fit, and when to skip.

Yes, if you are

  • An operator with an existing business in the messy middle
  • A team that needs pressure testing of a tech stack or operating model
  • A founder setting up a studio or portfolio of small bets
  • A team exploring RCS / business messaging as a channel

Not a fit, if you want

  • Pre-product or pre-revenue work that needs a full-time CTO
  • Web design, branding, or marketing execution (I run a studio for this)
  • Hourly or token-of-good-faith engagements
  • Anything NDA-burdened before we've talked scope

Engagements

Three shapes I typically take.

Diagnostic

A two-week pressure test of your stack, model, or channel strategy. Written report, no retainer.

Fractional CTO retainer

Monthly engagement with a soft cap on active client count. Two-week minimum.

Studio setup

Build the operating system for a portfolio of small bets. One-time, fixed scope.

Process

How an engagement usually runs.

  1. 1.

    First email

    You send a one-paragraph description of what's going on. I reply within a business day with a yes / no / ask-three-questions.

  2. 2.

    Discovery call

30 minutes, no pitch. We figure out whether there's a real engagement shape to build.

  3. 3.

    Written scope

A one-page scope with deliverables, decision rights, and a fee. We both sign before any work starts.

  4. 4.

    Run the engagement

Weekly written updates, async-first, calls only when a decision is in front of us.

If this sounds right, say hi.

Email is fastest. Send the one-paragraph version of what you're working on and I'll write back within a business day.
